Night Swims

Christopher worked tirelessly this week to find the leak in our pool, and fix it himself. I marvel at his intelligence and strength. 

When I arrived home at 10 PM last night after Caroline's swim meet concluded, the pool lights were on, and the Texas country Music was playing. It was a sweet sight and even sweeter sound. Having a very early morning today, I had to turn in, but Christopher stayed up and let Everett take his first night swim… Complete with blue jean cut off swim shorts.  He is such a remarkable father, and I love the true friendship these two already share.

Travel Woes

I have experienced a pretty ridiculous run if travel issues in the last two months. Last Saturday, I was headed to DFW for Robbie's memorial service and the flights were all messed up. I was going down a negative, whiny path UNTIL my Mama straightened me out. 

I love my Mom so much.

Sweetheart

Caroline bright me coffee in bed this morning. I think she wanted to stay home from school, but whatever the reason, it was delicious!  Salted Caramel coffee, no sugar, frothed milk, and a dash of fresh ground cinnamon. 

I think I'll keep her. 

P.s. We did consider playing hooky today, but we decided it was a little unnecessary because it's already Friday. :)
