Catching on with reading
Everett has always enjoyed a few books and songs at bedtime, but recently his love for books has grown to where he aka for specific books or even reads to himself. Yay!

Happy Birthday to ME :p
Birthdays come in all shapes and sizes. This one looked a lot like me sitting on the back row of a plane for most of the day. But when I came home, I saw smiling children, smelled homemade biscuits and gravy, and heard Louis Armstrong crooning. It was a wonderful little dinner and time of reflection, followed by Some incredibly thoughtful cards, voicemails, and gifts.
I'm thankful to have this day, and I'm relieved to be at that point in my life where I Really look forward instead of backward. I specifically want to grow in love and patience this year.

Sushi Paradise
We have wonderful neighbors. This is not news. What IS new is my understanding of DeAnna's sushi making skills.

Haircuts
We sure do love Ms Lauren! She started cutting Caro's hair about 4 years ago when she had just finished school. Now she's got full books and we're lucky to have her cut Everett's hair too. :)
(Bonus because this haircut only required 1/2 box of Altoids. We're moving in the right direction!)

Guess Who
Guess who's going to see Taylor Swift?!?!
One of the most precious and bittersweet moments was FaceTiming with Caroline at the Rotelli wedding to tell her I was staying with Andrea in Texas another week, but that she was going to see Taylor Swift with her friends.
A heart full of gratitude to the moms who made it happen. Xoxo
The next week there was a special brand of silliness when she was getting ready to sing her heart out!
